Working Together Toward a Cleaner Future
Sustainability is not a side issue, but a core strategic value at Bos Logistics. As a family-owned business, we feel a strong sense of responsibility for the world in which we work and live. Our ambition is clear: we want to play a leading role in reducing CO₂ emissions within the logistics chain, particularly in first- and last-mile distribution.
From electric transport at Schiphol and Brucargo to smart route planning and the use of biofuels such as HVO100: every day, we take steps toward cleaner and more efficient logistics. We combine innovation, partnership, and decisiveness to make a sustainable impact—not just for our customers, but for the entire sector.
Electric vehicle fleet
We are actively committed to deploying electric trucks, including the Volvo FH Electric and Mercedes E-Actros, for distribution operations at locations such as Schiphol, Brucargo, and Rotterdam. These electric trucks are used by our partners and serve as a visible symbol of our commitment to zero-emission transport.
Use of alternative fuels
A large portion of our on-air fleet runs on HVO100, a biofuel that immediately reduces CO₂ emissions by 90%. In addition, LNG-powered vehicles are used where operationally feasible.
Innovation through collaboration
We actively participate in initiatives such as the TULIPS consortium, where we benchmark and study how electric trucks perform compared to traditional powertrains, with a focus on the environment, energy consumption, and social impact.
Customer-focused sustainability
Together with clients such as KLM E&M and DSV, we are making entire supply chains more sustainable. This includes the use of sustainable vehicles, route optimization, and the integration of e-CMR and paperless transport. We make sustainability measurable and visible, including through reports in our digital customer portal.
Working paperless
By investing in digital processes, such as the e-CMR (electronic consignment note), digital signatures, and automated document archiving, we make our services not only more efficient but also more sustainable.
Less paper means less waste, faster turnaround times, and fewer errors. Our customers benefit from real-time visibility into their shipments, while together we drastically reduce CO₂ emissions and paper consumption.
“ We look to the future. We invest, test, optimize, and share our insights, day in and day out. We are proud to be building a future in which logistics is not only reliable and efficient, but also clean, smart, and sustainable.”

Results: making a visible difference
Our efforts have not gone unnoticed. In 2023, we received the “Ahead of the Curve Award” from Air Cargo Belgium for the most sustainable initiative at Brucargo. We have also put several new electric trucks into service and are helping customers achieve their own sustainability goals.
Through innovation and collaboration, we are setting a new standard in airport logistics and urban distribution. From Brussels Airport to Schiphol, we are proving that sustainability and efficiency go hand in hand.
Ready for a green future?
We believe that real impact is only possible through collaboration. That’s why we actively seek dialogue with customers, suppliers, and partners to work together to further reduce our carbon footprint.
