Sustainability as an integral part of operations

Gepubliceerd op:

In logistics, sustainability is no longer just a goal for the future. It is a daily reality that directly impacts customer expectations, reliability, and costs.

The question isn’t whether you’re becoming more sustainable, but how you do it without slowing down or complicating operations.

At Bos Logistics, we make sustainability an integral part of how we plan, drive, report, and collaborate. Always with the same guiding principle: it must work in practice and add value for our customers.

Logical choices in daily operations

For us, sustainability has value when it fits logically within our operations. We therefore make sustainable choices in the same way as any other logistics decision: based on data, feasibility, and impact.

For us, sustainability is embedded in route planning, vehicle selection, warehouse processes, and IT. This results in lower emissions, less waste, and greater control over the supply chain.

Zero emissions and alternatives in balance

At strategic locations such as Schiphol, Rotterdam, and Brucargo, Bos Logistics’ electric trucks operate daily. These are deployed on routes where zero emissions are reliable and scalable. Electric driving is thus a standard part of our first and final mile.

For routes where electric driving is not yet feasible, we use cleaner alternatives. A large portion of our fleet runs on HVO100, which reduces CO₂ emissions by up to 90% compared to fossil diesel. We also use LNG when it offers the right operational balance between performance and emission reduction.

We determine which solution is most effective on a route-by-route and customer-case basis.

Data as an accelerator of sustainability

Sustainability is enhanced by how you plan, consolidate, and gain insights. Smart route planning, digitization, and real-time data ensure that sustainable choices deliver structural results.

Through our digital customer portal, we share CO₂ reports, performance insights, and operational data. These insights help customers further optimize their supply chain and support their sustainability goals. This way, sustainability is directly integrated into our daily collaboration.

Working Together for Progress

We are a partner in the European innovation program TULIPS. Within this partnership, we develop and test zero-emission logistics in practice, together with airports, technology companies, and research institutions.

We immediately apply the insights gained from this to our own operations and share them with customers and partners. Because collaboration makes sustainability scalable.

Sustainability as an integral part of our operations

Our approach is pragmatic and consistent. By continuously improving, we keep making choices that have an impact today and also add value in the long term. For our customers, this means a logistics partner that has integrated sustainability into its operations. Transparent, predictable, and reliable.

That is how we approach sustainability. As an integral part of our logistics operations, without compromising on service and quality.
