“Flexible, solution-oriented, and always close by” – Interview with Brahim Marouf, Branch Manager at Bos Logistics Rotterdam

Bos Logistics Rotterdam team

In the heart of the Port of Rotterdam, Brahim Marouf steers Bos Logistics’ operations with a steady hand. His mission? “To ensure we become the leading logistics player in Rotterdam.” An ambitious yet realistic goal, especially given the growth the branch is experiencing.

Rotterdam: the hub for ocean freight

The Rotterdam branch focuses entirely on pre- and post-carriage of sea freight. “We pick up containers from the port, unload them in our own warehouse, temporarily store the goods, and transport them to their final destination. And we do the same in reverse for export containers,” explains Brahim. “Whether it’s distribution, temporary storage, or ADR goods: we have the right facilities and expertise in-house.”

No standard work

What sets Bos apart from other logistics providers in the port? Brahim is clear: “Flexibility. We basically never say no. If there’s a logistics challenge, we solve it. You hear that from our customers too: we adapt quickly, communicate directly, and always think along with them.”

Clients that matter

Bos Logistics Rotterdam works for major names such as DHL, Schenker, and Mainfreight. But Brahim also wants to grow in new customer segments. “We don’t necessarily want to be the biggest, but we do want to be a reliable partner who keeps their promises, is always available, takes care of everything for the customer, and truly adds value.”

Ambition: market leader in sight

The ambition is clear: to become the market leader in pre- and post-carriage of sea freight in the Rotterdam region. “We monitor the market and take other players into account, but focus primarily on further improving our own services,” says Brahim.

Smarter with data

Digitalization is also playing an increasingly important role in Rotterdam. “Through our data and IT platform, we can provide customers with better insight into their logistics processes. That helps manage the supply chain more efficiently.”

Sustainability: work in progress

The first steps have been taken in the area of sustainability. “We’re not yet where we want to be, but the topic is getting attention. Think of initiatives toward electric driving and optimizing routes.”

The strength of Bos in Rotterdam

From handling import and export containers to distribution, from warehousing to gas measurements. Bos Logistics Rotterdam offers a wide range of logistics services. “We are fast, flexible, customer-focused, and like to keep things practical and simple.”
